As a business analyst, my job includes gathering the requirements by collecting User Stories and writing the Use Case. People can easily get confused between User Story and Use Case, since they are pretty similar in the concept. Then how is a User Story different than a Use Case? “While a use case is highly structured and tells a story, the User Story sets the stage by stating the need. A User Story is the prelude to the use case by stating the need before the use case tells the story”.
“Good user stories are at the heart of team workflows and facilitate a clear way forward by focusing on simple and clear business value in line with business goals.” It elaborates what makes a good user story and provides basic structure as well as examples.
It gives a good definition of use case as well as walking you through the steps on writing up a good use case.
While writing use cases seems time consuming, the article elaborates how use cases can provide a valuable return.
I hope you find them helpful and Happy Reading!
