INTERNET APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
MID MARKET ERP DEVELOPMENT

Recently, I received a request from a customer who wants to generate AR invoices based on an imported Excel file from a third party application. The interesting part of this regular import is the sales taxes are imported from the Excel file, instead of being calculated by Sage 300 ERP. If the import file contains tax amounts, then the import process allows Sage 300 ERP to calculate the tax amount. However, these amounts are only used as a basis for the tax amount from the import file. If, the import file has "zero" as a tax amount, then the tax class in Sage 300 ERP sets to "2" (non-taxable), and all tax amounts are then "zero." Here is a sample import file and how the AR invoices generate:
According to the previous import file, two AR invoice entries are now generated in a batch below.
With this customization, I helped my customer automatically generate AR invoices based on their imported excel file, ultimately streamlining their daily processes and creating efficiency in their workflow.
