Looping through Records with Formulas in Intacct

For the past few weeks, I worked on a project in Intacct. I have two related objects in my project and I need to display the total amount of the child object in the parent object. 

I had to create two triggers to accomplish this task:

1.    Update Field Value on the parent record to update the summary field value
2.    Have the child record run Triggers on Related Records to run the first trigger, when the child record Amount field changes

I discovered we can loop through related records and unrelated records in Intacct.

Looping through related records:



R10048 is the Integration Name of the relationship

 

Looping through the unrelated record:

 

#134673@10263 is the Original ID for the View we want to use and “10” indicates to loop through the first 10 records.
