MID MARKET ERP DEVELOPMENT
by Emma Tsai
Last week, I delivered an interesting project to a client. The client needed a customized spreadsheet that allowed them use a formula to create the new base price of an item when new options were added to a base component.
For instance, if a customer ordered a base item with an option 1 and option A, our client wanted to increase the base price of the finished item by 5 percent. They needed to increase the price of each component by a certain percentage so the new price reflects the percentage change for their parameters.
To do this, the user first selects the default price list needed to calculate the parameter and then clicks on the “Export Items” button. This brings the information in from Sage 300 ERP.
Second, the user enters the percentage by which to increase the item’s base price.
