Adding Angular Gauges for Sage CRM Opportunities

by Kristi Feng

Last week, I had a chance to test the FusionWidgets for Sage CRM 7.2 to create custom charts.

I wanted to use the angular gauge chart to show the certainty percentage for an opportunity.

I decided to use these values for my angular gauge chart:
  • 0 - 100% as the lower and upper limit of the chart.
  • Two colors for the chart. 0 - 50% as yellow and 51 - 100% as green.

He...

Sales and Project Management Using Intacct and Sage CRM, Part 1

By Hrayr Galoyan
At CodePartners, we literally handle hundreds of opportunities per year. In three years since I joined, I alone worked on over 750 opportunities, big and small. Some of them converted into projects, and some were lost, but all needed attention and had to be tracked. And I am only one of the team members, analyzing the requirements, designing solutions, sending out proposals, manag...

Sage CRM 7.2 Client Side API

      by Kristi Feng
Sage CRM 7.2 provides a set of client-side libraries to help us customize the screen behavior. It is simply the coding for us and it is browser independent.
Here is an example of how to set a Company Status (comp_status) caption and value to red when the value is Inactive. You need to place this code in the Custom Content of the Company Entry Screen.

      Using Groups in Sage CRM

      By Hrayr Galoyan

You may have noticed a Groups tab in the My CRM area of Sage CRM.

Groups are collections of records from the CRM database. You can create groups of companies, people, leads, sales opportunities, or any other entity defined in CRM. Each group only can contain reco...

2013 Review and Looking Forward to 2014

As 2013 comes to a close, I have reflected upon the past year, and all of our changes, highlights and company direction. Some of these are probably worth noting to you, to see where the company is heading.

Added Intacct developers to our team. Well, technically, some of our team members attended training to become Intacct Platform Services and API developers. Other members of our team are now In...

How to Bypass Smart Rule Warnings

      by Joe Zhou
Prior to attending Intacct Advantage 2013, our team wrapped up our first Intacct and Sage CRM Integration project.

This project began out of necessity for the sales team to initialize an opportunity in Sage CRM and automatically promote this opportunity to Intacct once the opportunity becomes a project. To create a project in Intacct, the sales team begins the workflow by i...

How to Default the Company Dashboard in Sage CRM

      by Kristi Feng
A while ago, a client asked if Sage CRM had a way to default the Company Interactive Dashboard based on Company Type.
There is an asp page that displays the interactive dashboards. It is located under #CRM Installed Path#\#CRM Instance Name#\WWWRoot\InteractiveDashboard\InteractiveDashboard.asp.
It will pass QueryString to the SDataWebservice and if the QueryString contains the lpLa...

Custom Estimate Duplicator for Sage CRM

      by Emma Tsai
Recently, one of our Sage business partners asked me to do a customization project for Sage CRM 7.1. Their client wanted a way to copy an entire response for a quote and allow users to enter a new Quote Number to create a new quote.
We worked with the partner to get the requirements and created a simple program that would enable this to happen with a few keystrokes. With this customi...

How to Hide Columns from List Block Definition in Sage CRM

      by Kristi Feng
Recently a new user to Sage CRM asked How to hide columns from the CommunicationToDoList. She tried with "Hidden = true;" in the Create Script, but it has no effect.
It was not specified in the "Developer's Guide," but in the "System Administrator Guide" it stated that we can do "Visible = false;" to hide the column in list control.
For example, we can put the following in the Creat...
